I have had several requests for more info on the ozone machine that I
purchased. So, here is a bit of info for anyone interested. I did not
purchase it for dust collection and was not aware that it could be used for
that purpose. The machine has a "plate" that needs periodic cleaning and in
very dusty environments I would think you would have to be cleaning it
frequently. Personally, I don;t think it would be all that valuable in high
dusty areas like studios.
In addition, I was not aware that it is bad for you. I would
still like more info on that if anyone has any additional information.
However, mold and mildew is not good for you either!

My reason for purchasing this machine was to clean the mold and mildew on
our boat. It permeated the bedding i.e. pillows were moldy smelling and had
visible mold growing. The mold was growing on the ceiling and in general
everywhere. Things were pretty bad. I have developed asthma and mold is not
really great for me.
In addition to the medical condition I have a very good nose and found the
odor to be almost unbearable especially when it was in my pillow...smelling
it all night long.

I came across the ozone machine at a Home Show. The fellow selling it let
me take one home on a trial basis without any money down. He didn't even
have my phone number since we were living on our boat at that time. (I
guess I look like an honest person) How can you go wrong trying something
for free and returnable with no questions asked? It worked so fantastic
that I didn't return it but sent him a check instead.
In the brochure that came with the machine it states the following:

Principles of Operation

Nature cleanses the air with lightening and rain. Lightning bolts produce
ozone and positive and negative ions that clean the air naturally. Rain
helps bring ozone and ions closer to the earth's surface. They are then
attracted to atmospheric contaminants that are either removed from the air
and attached to the grounded objects or are oxidized.

The Peak III reproduces the natural conditions found in the outdoors. It is
not designed to create an artificial environment. The reestablishment of a
natural environment takes place out in the air instead of inside the unit.
It purifies the air rather than filtering it, masking the symptoms or
attempting to dilute it.

The above is a direct quote from the Owner's Manual. I would like to state
that while it "cleans" the air it does not actually remove the mold and
mildew stains. It simply kills the mold but the stains remain...drat! It
will clean dog odors, kitchen odors, bathroom odors, smoke; any kind of odor
disappears. Unfortunately, if you stand in front of the machine too long
wearing perfume, it zaps it right off.
It comes with a plug for your automobile so you can clean your car to smell
better. If you have a lot of mold and mildew, it will take some time to
clean the place up. If I recall, the boat took at least a week and possibly
more to clean. I purchased the smallest unit which of course takes longer
to work.

The Company that manufactures this product is

Living Air
310 T. Elmer Cox Drive
Greenville, TN 37743

I have no connection with them other than having purchased their product. I
believe it has a three year guarantee. Some people don't care for the
smell....that just lightening and rain odor. It is not unpleasant but is
different. For certain it smells very clean. I hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Ingeborg
