After reading this I had a thought -- what would happen if the grog were
treated with a water repellent like the new "Water Warden"?

Since I don't have any, I can't try it. Maybe someone will.

Dear Fredrick Paget <>

You ask ..."what would happen if the grog were treated with a water =
repellent like the new "Water Warden"?"...

Tell me what the constituents of that material are and I will hazard a =
guess.

Best regards,

Ivor Lewis

Why do you want to waterproof grog? If you want a waterproof additive to
open the clay for better drying what is wrong with sand?
