I got a similar (same alumina and silica ) Seger formula when I dded frit
3134 instead of Alisa's frit - yes the expansion is high even then and it
will craze. Note all the soluble soda in this one - it will move as the
glaze dries and that can be used as a decorative element.

If I were trying to get more colour I would add 5 to 20 lowfire red clay
and increase the frit up to 20 to get more melt - worth a try.
