stepless kiln control

I just rebuilt a ceramic test kiln which is about 1 sq. ft. and runs off 120
volts and 13 amps. It has a on-off switch but heats up to cone 5 in about 90
minutes which is too fast. Where can I get a variable control for this that
will work with this voltage/amperage? How much are we looking at costwise?
It has one element.

Scott - Check with Euclids < http://www.euclids.com >. I had a
similar type test kiln, firebrick, element and cord with plug. I used
to control it to an extent by leaving the lid partially open. Finally
got an infinite switch and a couple of lead wires from Euclids.

You could try Seattle Pottery Supply.  They make kilns there and carry all kinds of parts.  I think what you're looking for would be about $20, maybe more.  The # is (206)587-0570.
