Dear Catherine White,=20
Curtain wire is a continuous length of wire finely coiled like a heavy =
guitar string, about three mm diameter, say three sixteenths of an =
inch, coated with vinyl plastic. Should be at WalMart, K-Mart and similar =
stores. Cut into lengths it has a screw eye placed at each end, is =
threaded through the top seam of a curtain and hung from the sides of a =
window.
Buy a couple of metres. Strip off the plastic. Lodge one end of a foot =
length in a vice. Grip the other end and pull to stretch until adjacent =
coils have a gap equal to the diameter.
Have fun. Best regards.
Ivor.
