I just hosted a Tony Winchester workshop that was incredible to put it
lightly. This guy is a dynamo on the wheel and the way he alters shapes--I
have never seen anyone do the things he does on the wheel. He was awesome!
He takes some of his functional forms and turns them into beautiful, well
executed scultpure. I watched as people literally dropped their mouths at
various times during the two day demonstration as he pushed and pulled clay
with ease and joy.
I was blown away by his use of the giffin grip (which I must confess I
thought was silly). What a trimming tool! If anyone has a newer giffin
