Refires:
Thanks for all the posts, public and
private, about refiring my casserole.
I'm really not concerned about the
chips .... they're small and beneath=20
the top rim. I am going to refire
with no re-glazing ,beginning with ^06 and see what
happens; if that doesn't work I'll
refire at ^6 since I know that was
the original firing schedule. I've done so with copper
reds and some shinos...... no=20
additional glaze added .... and they usually have been gorgeous. But =
they were
pots I'd made. This is another potter's
work.

Leaves:
I have the flexible slip of which Stephanie
wrote for preserving leaves for further
clay work. And now that I've put out
a piteous plea to friends that I may get
arrested if I continue my Thieving Ways,
they're coming through majorly. Today
I received all sizes of grape,
okra, and eggplant leaves. Tomorrow mulberry
will come my way. THEN a friend travels
to Minnesota and Fargo next week and
will bring back some of their gorgeous
leaves ..... another is going to Texas
and plans to collect as many varieties
and sizes as she can find (and probably steal ......=20
bad influence I am, true, but once it
appears that my bounty is coming to an end and that further whining will =
be
fruitless, I'll
begin persuading said friends to
refrain from a Life of Crime and return
to their formerly Righteous Paths before
it's too late.)

In the Mojave where the smoky smell is
back and the mighty Sierras are
partially obscured once again. Sad.

Ok Joyce---can't stand the suspence. Last year I gave clay leaves to lots of
people and they said they loved 'em. NOW, what are you dong with them...
I have a pot --about 9" and raku'd" by Barbara :Linemeyer--up here in
Or--love her work, and this pot has several oak leaves surrounding the
mouth----so pretty.

What are you going to do with the leaves////press, etc???
