Ginny

Thanks! I was going to suggest this area but thought the original poster
was looking in the U.S.A. I don't recall seeing you in my studio but I
was away for 5 days last week enjoying the great sun and the beach on
the west coast of vancouver island. Sorry that I missed you, please do
stop in on your next visit and say hello! And yes, this area is abundant
with rockin potters!!!!

we just came back from a week on Vancouver island
and we were very impressed by the pottery we saw
there.
there are lots of studios open for visits and co-op
galleries as well. denman and hornby islands are
especially well populated by some fine potters. i
could barely keep my wallet in my purse and bought
more than i could really afford - and only saw a small
fraction of what is out there. ah - so many pots and
so little time. well, there is always next year -
i hope.
B.C. POTTERS ROCK!

Ginny -

YOU ROCK!

When you next come to Vancouver Island let us know you are coming and when.
We have a Guild in Parksville. Our home is the old C.P.R. Train Station.
Our phone number there (250)954-1872

I live in Nanoose Bay which is 10 minutes from the Station. We would love
to meet you and show you arond our area, too. We agree with you that Denman
and Hornby Islands have some great potters. On Vancouver Island/ The
Islands (as you know, there are many) we are blessed with potters, some of
which are "world famous". (Wayne Ngan, Robin Hopper, etc.)

We are happy you enjoyed your visit and look forward to your next one.
