Hi all!
If your eyes glaze over at technical questions, read no further. :-)
On the other hand, if you are a true glaze techy, can you tell me what the
coefficient of expansion is for Zirconium Oxide, the source of this
information and the units of the COE value?
I believe there is something in Lawrence and West, but I don't have
access to a copy.
Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Digitalfire lists ZrO and ZrO2 as 0.02 (no units)
Hamer's Potter's Dictionary puts it down on the low end of the scale.
(No numbers just a relative listing.)
Hope that helps,
Linda

Dave,
If you would care to go to my web site and look under Pottery Techniques
/ Calculating Crazing you will see a selection of different coefficients
for ZrO2 together with their units and the source of the information.

Dave, my info is from Ron Roy.
His table lists ZrO2 as 2.30.
I don't know what units this is measured in, but I don't care.
All I want to know is the relationship to other oxides.
To compare, here are some other values:
Na2O 41.60
CaO 16.30
Al2O3 1.40
SiO2 0.50
