I wonder how many of us have walked that hard road back to this reality.
Probably many more than we would guess.

I would like to volunteer to be the Chairman of the "Artimator
Computer Breathalyzer Fund". We will install an ignition lock,
as used on the automobiles of convicted drunk drivers, on Arti's
computer. The keyboard on his computer will be locked and
unusable until he breathes into a tube on his computer with
unadulterated breath. One positive Red Stripe detection will freeze
the keyboard for 6 hours and automatically start the Mr. Coffee
machine brewing in his kitchen.
I'm kicking in the first $20. Please, people, give 'till it hurts.
There could be impressionable Pottery 101 students reading
Clayart.

Kurt, I concur. I did not hit the bottom but it was rushing up at me
real quick. The clay was getting sloppy and I was not getting anywhere. Did
not do a thirty day program either. Just showed up a one of the many AA
groups here in the city.
Rush, if the snakes are givin you hell you might consider a change.
No offense intended

David, lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Brushing aside the
seriousness of this issue which I have already addressed, I think Arti's
posts at times are some of the most entertaining on the thread. Not to
mention the fact that what he says is stuff straight from his gut, in all of
it's glory.
If Arti's gonna drink by-gawd let us let the man go full tilt boogie!
He's raw, he's uncensored and he's live.......right here on clayart. If the
mayor feels like lettin the artimator stay behind the wheel on the highspeed
highway of the airwaves then let us take him for what for whatever he brings
us.
Go arti go

Sounds like some sort of gimmick to me. Artimator needs to make some good
choices on his own and may need to "hit bottom" before he can. A 30 day
out patient treatment and AA might work - it did for me.

Oh yes, many more than some would guess. And there are
many who will tell you that there is only one path, but verily I say unto
you that they lie and decieve, and that those who say "one path only", live
with blinders and prefer them. For there are many paths to the top of the
mountain, yet behold, the view from the top is always the same.

Leland, in La Pine, OR
where I feel Arti's pain. Arti don't go for no blinders. I respect that,
and the others on this list who chose truth over convienience. (which is
most of you, I might
add)

Hi Guys and Gals,

Some of this is sort of funny and sort of sad all at once. I am filled with
compassion for the person who is still suffering. We don't have to.

Will celebrate 13 years sober, if I make it, Dec. 17. AA people have helped
me through so much of what life (and death) have handed out to me.

I will miss most of what you guys say for the next several days. Off to
Berea for the art show, leave Wednesday, back Monday.

Regards,

Jean Wadsworth Cochran
