which is a Jamaican beer. I was told
a few years ago that it's somewhat
similar to Mojave Red or Mojave=20
Green, not sure which.... not bad beers
themselves .... developed locally by
a friend who quit being a cop and=20
became a brewmeister.... a successful
one. Skiers on their way back and forth
to Mammoth Mountain stop and buy
caseloads. Someday .... when I've
come to a Slow Spot in my clay=20
adventures, I'll probably offer Rick some mugs
for his place .... for sale to tourists
mostly.

In the Mojave where all desert rats
know that the Mojave Green is also
a deadlier than deadly rattlesnake, also
local grown. The anti-venom is
collected by desert rat science teachers
who send it to University of California
in Los Angeles, who then return some
of it to our hospital for use in attempts to save
lives of locals, yes, but also of city
motorcyclists and other boondockers
who go charging through the desert,
seeing nothing and destroying much,
including themselves.

We almost always stop to buy some Mojave Red on our way back to San Diego
from backpacking trips in the Sierras. They do have good beers... nice
people too. Is it still just a tasting area or do they serve food
now? Maybe mugs would be just the ticket -- I'd buy one!
