Speaking of commemorative stamps, there is a new one honoring W. Eugene Smith, the famous war fotojournaist. The image of the soldier in profile is none other than the late Papa Evangelos, original owner of the historic Evangelos Bar in downtown Santa Fe (the last of the old downtown SF bars). Mama & Papa ran the bar for Years, and now their son Nick/Nico is in charge.
Word to the wise: Never ask for a Budweiser in there.
By the way, I have a friend who has a small b&w photo of Andy with his shirt pulled up, showing off his bullet wound scars. Ogden Nash stamp is nice, too. nezbah
