I am no mathematician, but it seems to me that if the above were true,
there'd have to be a huge humber of us who are OVER 93.3 years of age in
order to balance everyone younger. How did you get this figure?

Really? No kidding? I'm suprised. I knew there were a lot of old-timers
here, but not that kind of ratio. How did you determine this? Well, no
wonder I am continously humbled, dismayed, even sometimes overwelmed by the
vast and awsome knowledge, wisdom and experience so generously shared here
on clayart.
Leland in La Piney woods, Oregon. Eight degrees at 5am, but a bright sunny
day now. The snow is holding it's breath. For now.

Don't forget to be amazed at our imaginative statisticians!

Thank you, Elca. I wasn't an English teacher for 40 years for nothing. We
know.

I think Charles wrote that as a joke, to see if
anyone is really thinking about what's written.
Just 'cause it's in black-and-white doesn't
make it so! Some critical thinking is a Good
Thing, now and again.

That figure of 93.3 average years of age was very easily obtained
mathematically, because lots of us are way over 93.3 years of age. Potting
keeps one young at heart while promoting longevity! ;-)

Well, apparently you ARE a mathematician, Lisa--you're quite correct on this!

But I do b'lieve Charles was pulling our collective leg!
