"Personally I am just amazed how much energy has gone into the life on
one of us who likes booze. Would he get half as much attention if he
told us that despite elevated blood sugar he cannot keep away from
chocolate?"
Potter Wag has a problem, (No, I am not making fun of anyone....I have a
bad sweet tooth.)
It's Bridge Festival in Parke Co. The caramel corn and chocolate are
flowing like crazy and I ate too much today. The big problem is that I
can't eat the stuff with clay on my hands. I started using a bowl and a
spoon. It was cutting into my production. When it is warm and fresh I
can't control myself. I wonder how many famous artists had a sweet
tooth?
I just don't see how anyone could make pots when they were drunk. Maybe
that is the answer....get on the wheel and make pots.
BTW....I am not making fun of anyone with a real serious problem. My
wife the "other potter" takes medication for depression and it is
wonderful to see her happy and productive. She had terrible panic
attacks and was so depressed before she was diagnosed.

Working on the wheel drunk? Never thought of that. Bet the pots would be real
loose! LOL Maybe I should try it the next time I have a margarita madness
party. :-)

Many years ago. July afternoon, trying to throw coffee pots & having a
bad day! Two friends turned up; Don and Nigel, table makers, also
having a bad day. I went and fetched a bottle of rotten orange wine
(recipe to those who want it) and three paper cups. Over the next half-
hour we demolished the entire bottle. It had the desired effect; Don was
wearing silly smile, I was throwing coffee pots effortlessly, Nigel got
up for a pee and fell over!
