A couple tips for pop-ups,
On Windows machines, Alt-F4 will close whatever window is "active". It's a
quick way to catch them before they finish loading all their code - which
can sometime trigger further pop-ups. However, all such pop-up windows are
a result of having Java Script enabled in your web browser. I know both
Internet Explorer and Netscape offer the ability to turn off Java Script.
Some websites use it for constructive purposes such as if you're filling out
forms or doing on-line shopping. In those cases, you'll want it turned on.
But if you're getting a lot of pop-ups, you may want to leave it off most of
the time ... end of pop-up problems.
I know that there also exist some shareware & freeware "pop-up killer"
software programs you can download to stop the nasty critters as well, but I
personally haven't tried any.

They just don't give up.
Pop-up ads are multiplying like guppies.
I got two of them at your website, June.
A new variety shows up on the right edge of the screen,
so you can't click on the "X" to get rid of it.
You have to drag it to the left and then X it out.
Now, I'm getting some that are so large you can't X them
out or even grab the corner and coax the window smaller.
For those you can hit Ctrl, then Alt, then delete, and you
will get a box to close the sucker. (Windows OS)
Sheesh. Do they think annoying you will make you want to
buy what they have?
I make a point of always deleting pop-up ads before
ANYTHING has time to show up.

A while back Rush had talked about his web site so I took a look at it. Now,
I have no idea what Rush looks like but there was a photo of a man in the
upper right corner and I thought he had included a photo of himself on his
website. My first thought was, Wow, that's Rush? Then I read the caption
underneath the photo. It was an ad for a movie, the man in the photo was
Harrison Ford.

I use Explorer. To obtain relief from ads, click on Internet
Options. Select Advanced.
Uncheck everything under Multimedia, including pictures.
Whenever you need to see pictures, check that box again. When you
leave it unchecked, most ads do not appear.
