What are you asking for your press?

Kevin

OWLPOTTER@AOL.COM on sun 23 mar 03

The dimensions of the 30 ton RAM press I have for sale are as follows:

It has a platten (the pressing surface) of 30 inches by 24 inches.

The die cases I have are 21 inches square.

(The potter I purchased this press from made a 16 inch round platter with it.)

I have 4 sets of die cases (8 pieces total) that vary in depth. The one in
the press at the moment: The bottom case is 5 and 5/8ths inches deep and the
top case is 3 and 7/8 inch deep.

The overall height of the pressing area is 25 inches - but this can be
extended - we talked with RAM about doing just that once, and they do offer
an extension for exceptionally tall pieces of pottery.

I am asking $10,000 for everything - the press, the die cases, the rack that
holds them, and the die lifter.

I purchased it from a potter in NewYork, sight unseen! for $13,000 and paid
$1400 to have it trucked here. It'll press all day long, more pieces than
you ever dreamed possible!

Make me an offer. I am hoping to relocate to Florida by the end of the year.
