I need some help with my bubble bottoms and I'm not talking about the one I sit on. Anyone have any ideas?

Not a clue what a bubble bottom is. Can you explain? They tell Karl marx
got boils on his bottom from sitting for hours in the British Library, which
is what made him so unpleasant....Is this the problem?

Be of good courage....

Hi Lily: What I mean by a bubble bottom is that when I use the wire to cut
the pot on the bat, a ring of clay in the bottom seems to rise and I hope
that even if I did get boils on my bottom, I would still make an effort to
be pleasant.

Mildred, I am still having trouble making a mental picture of this "bubble".
The only thing I can see is that this "buble" is in the center of your pot
bottom, in other words, the "bubble" was there before you cut the pot from
the bat. That would mean that your clay ball was not seating flat against
the bat, and to eliminate you need to slam or press harder, so that the clay
ball is completely flat against the bat with no "bubbles" before you begin
the centering process. If the "bubble" is formed as you cut-off the pot
from the bat, then I would think your pot must be deforming, indicating it
does not have enough strength (too thin or too wet).

Best regards,
