You've probably gotten responses from some other locals (but since I get
Clayart in Digest form it takes me a day longer... so here goes). From the
border to Mission Valley, if you are driving, the route is north on I-5 to
I-8 east. You then take the Hotel Circle exit (which is Hotel Circle
South) and go left. The road goes under the freeway and you'll take a left
at the light on Hotel Circle North. You'll see the Town and Country right
in front of you as soon as you turn left onto Hotel Circle North. The
distance is maybe 15 miles (not exactly sure, but close to
that). However, there is another option: The San Diego Trolley goes
from the border to the parking lot of the Town and Country, costs about $5
for the entire trip, and you avoid the craziness of traffic in San Diego.
