>>It just didn't work for me.
The mix acquired a very flabby quality..
While wedging it wanted to "pancake"
Throwing soft was terrible..
things felt "slack"..
I didn't like it..at all.<<

Hi Bill

I rewedged some of that mix 5-6 days later now
and it was quite fine..
Those weird white balls are still there ..
very few..one or two per 5 kg "ball"
after removing half a dozen or so earlier.

Throwing was good too..
as good as usual..
not a noticeable improvement
but not a problem either.

Not sure what is going on...

Ceramics has to be the most underrated
skill on the planet..
"pottery" ..ya right.

Part of what I do with the glycerin in the clay body is to get rid of as much
water as I can. The added plastisicty is a plus, but being able to have less
water helps me lower losses due to cracking, and there is less warping in the
summer when the pots are in a draft. Water is my friend, and also my enemy.
It is not necessary for most people. It is just one of the things that I do.
