The October/November 2002 issue of Canadian Gardening has a fascinating article on Robin Hopper's beautiful 4 acre garden in Victoria, B.C. There are 10 photographs, including his ceramic fish set in a cement river and some larger than life mushrooms. They call him a renowned potter and master illusionist. It is a woodsy garden, with many unusual trees (zone 7 -8, to die for), but from the plan printed at the end, you can see the careful construction and perfectly balanced layout. Most of it is open to the public, so one day, maybe, I'll get there. In the meantime, there is the article.

I'm going to go ahead and go boldly because a little bird told me that jumping is easy, that falling is fun up until you hit the sidewalk, shivering and stunned

Anji asked where pictures of Robin Hopper's garden might be on line. Here is
his site http://www.chosinpottery.ca/index.html you could contact him,
because the site only shows the front of his studio. His garden is in back
and is a wonderful spot.
