lark books - 500 bowls

updated tue 29 oct 02

Hey folks, This past spring I had a slide accepted into Lark Books '500 Bowls' publication and I seem to recall that I was to recieve a copy of the page my bowl was on. My slides were recently returned and no photocopy was included. I have repeatedly called the publisher and get transfered to the responsible parties voicemail box and get no call back! Anyone else having a problem here?

stephen,

i just got back my slides too.
the book is not published yet.
as soon as it comes out, all of us (the contributing artists) are going to
receive a complimentary copy of the book, and plus 40 % off the price if
you want to buy more. this is my understanding.
i have photos in the 500 teapots book, and it just got published few weeks
ago by lark. they already sent the complimentary copies, i received mine.
but the 500 bowls book is not out yet.

it takes a while, but you should get either your page, or maybe a whole
book...
i just got my copy of the 500 teapots about a week ago, worth the wait!

Stephen,

Look on the cardboard sleeve protecting your slides.
On mine there was a hand written # that I assumed was the page #.
I imagine that they are rushed and did not have time to deal with
each of the 500 bowl entries.
Who knows they may not even have the pages completed yet.
I am being patient and will wait to see where my bowls are when I get my
copy.
In the past I have worked with a graphic artist and briefly for a
nationally known magazine.
Deadlines are a bitch and staff usually stretched too thin. Be patient...

Oops,
sorry Steven,
I just looked at my SASA envelop.
There was a "p233" on it not on the slide sleeve.
I assumed it was a page #.
Who knows?... I'll wait and see.
