I have been experimenting with purposely underfiring glazes to see if
their properties can be changed and to change the surface from a
smooth and glossy to something the texture and depth of frosting on a
doughnut.

I used a modified 5x20 Clear recipe from "Mastering Cone 6 Glazes"

WOLLASTONITE 15
FRIT 3134 30
KAOLIN 25
Silica Mesh 350 15
F-4 FELDSPAR 15

This was dipped on a high-iron red buff cone 5 clay (do not know the
recipe!) three times (very thick application!!) and and fired to cone
4.

The result is the pot shown in:

or choose

and pick the "SD Pottery" folder

As you can see this glaze crawled all over the place giving this
cup a most unique surface.

I think that this glaze is great if fired to the correct temperature
and applied about six times as thin as I did.
