I have been experimenting with purposely underfiring glazes to see if
their properties can be changed and to change the surface from a
smooth and glossy to something the texture and depth of frosting on a
doughnut.
I used a modified 5x20 Clear recipe from "Mastering Cone 6 Glazes"
WOLLASTONITE 15
FRIT 3134 30
KAOLIN 25
Silica Mesh 350 15
F-4 FELDSPAR 15
This was dipped on a high-iron red buff cone 5 clay (do not know the
recipe!) three times (very thick application!!) and and fired to cone
4.

As you can see this glaze crawled all over the place giving this
cup a most unique surface.
I think that this glaze is great if fired to the correct temperature
and applied about six times as thin as I did.
