I posted awhile back about stainless steel needle tools being available again, it was postponed. I still needed more pronto... rabid internet search revealed that pathologists etc. use similar tools. Found the following site amongst others, links still active as of this date. I like them, been using them 4 months, they're cheap and work great.... @ this price I view them as practically disposable. Haven't snapped any of them yet, though I think I'm a bit more careful with them than I use to be.. i think.. the tips are tapered on these though, maybe that's the difference.. at any rate I got 5 since i'm capable of losing tools while standing in one place...(still amazes me)... haven't snapped one yet.

item # 62125-11 Stainless Steel Probes #1 $5.25 each

Should this link no longer function in future do internet search for "Stainless Steel Probe"

I also found lots of interesting handles that accepted stainless tips called "Pin Vise Handle" and there are an amazing array of "spatulas" which we'd call "pallet knives".. more substantial than I'm used to but useful. Lots of small interesting tools.
