hello,
i am sure, that in this big clayart family
there are others who received a similar letter
to mine i`ve got from faenza, italy.
i entered a show i saw listed in ceramic monthly,
the 53rd international competition of ceramics in the
museum of faenza, italy.
the jury selected only 51 pieces (out of more than
2800 entered) for that show.
no, i didnt get into the 51, but my work got
chosen for a side exhibition of an additional 147
works
titled: "the shape between continuity and innovation".
this exhibit will take place in faenza from june till
the end of december of 2003.
i am very happy and excited of course, and thought
that i really would like to go and see that show!
what an occasion to visit italy...
is there anybody else on clayart
who is planning to go?
please let me know,
marta

Congratulations Marta! Glad to hear you are exhibiting in Europe too!
I know one of the 51 potters/ceramic artists who were chosen for the last
prestigious bi-annual exhibition: CPA member Daiva Kojelyt=E9-Marrow, who
is Lithuanian born and fine-art trained (Kaunas) but now living and working
in the UK. However, she was unable to travel to Italy and I am afraid I
don't know anyone who will be visiting the next one... Lucky you if you do
manage to get to Faenza... Judging from the main catalogue, it is an
exciting exhibition and no doubt the satellite galleries and exhibitions
will be well worth seeing too.
Sincerely
Janet Kaiser
