Gang,
I just realised how great this list can be!
I've been in a little bit of a funk lately. My clay career seems like its
been on hold forever, a friend had a heart attack a few weeks ago, a coworker
died of cancer...and then Paul Wellstone dies tragically. It just seemed like
everything has been in this "not positive" state for quite some time.
Then I thought, "What can I do to get things started again?" Then I thought
about what someone said on the list not too long ago, "Paint something", so I
painted something...that wall in my studio that's been unpainted for...13
years! eeck!
What a difference $10 dollars can make!
Thanks gang
Jeff Longtin
who just turned 40, another eeck!, is wondering what the hell? but knows,
sometimes, SOMETIMES, the struggle is damn well worth it!

Me too. I'm awaiting surgery and cannot concentrate on pottery at all. So
I'm firing some work I have ready, and going on a household cleaning binge.
I've cleaned my throwing area, added water to my bags of clay so they won't
dry out, washed off the clay from the walls, etc. Finally organized my dry
glaze ingredients alphabetically on some nice shelving, scrubbed down work
tables. Everything is ready for a fresh start, whenever that will be. Now
I'm on to tackle the rest of the house. It seems there is nothing like a
good cleaning for a fresh start, and to purge the soul (and pass idle time).

Good work Marianne....
You may have a bit of time before you can wedge..consider making 1 or 2 lb
balls wedged and ready to go in small plastic sacks---or for pinch
pots....or animals, or
You'll do fine---attitude is a big part of recovering and your is
positive....
Best of good wishes,
Hugs,
