Tony,
That's a great idea - when you're setting up the cost part tho', do
remember that we Canadians are at a distinct disadvantage when it comes to
paying in american dollars. Cut us some slack, and we'll join in droves!

Janet Kaiser has kindly offered this service for
some time, on her SUCAWS website.

I have had requests about creating a basic website for clay artists where
everyone will be under one housing: i.e. www.clayartists.com where each
artist would have their own page(s).

This would be an affordable website option for those of us who do not want
to invest $750 or more plus a high monthly fee for a website that sits there
and does nothing. This website would undergo meta-tag programming (aids in
search engine placment) and marketing efforts to obatin decent search engine
placement. It would be something you could direct people to for more
information about yourself and your work. It may include something such as
this:

--examples of your work either as a portfolio or works for sale (number of
images to be decided)
--contact info,
--listing of artfairs,
--shows,
--galleries represented

I am trying to come up with something that will get basic information across
to your audience at a fraction of the cost. Let me know what you think.

Thank you.

I've been thinking of setting up a website, but so much to learn and so
little time. Your idea sounds excellent for many many of us.............
Best wishes,
