You say, relating to K type Pyrometers <but after 12 cone 10 firings they quit about 2000f.>>
Maximum operating temperature for type K Chromel/Alumel thermocouples is =
1372=B0C (2500=B0F) but continuous use close to the upper limits will =
shorten their life.=20
If you are determined to get a long life and use a high temp =
thermocouple then you have to go to Type R or S and use a suitably =
calibrated Galvanometer.
