Hello,
I'm looking for some plans for a de-airing pugmill, i need something fairly
large. I already know where to get the motor and the gear box and i plan to
use 6" pipe for the main barrel and then weld a reducer on the end to give a
4" nozzle. I figure i will need a one HP motor. If anyone has any plans that
are fairly straightforward, epecially on how to make the auger and how to
arrange the vaccum chamber please let me know. I would also like to see
detail photos of some of the homemade ones out there, if available. Any help
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Paul,
If you will send me your email address, I will send you four PDF files that
contain complete instructions (with pictures) for building your own pugmill.

"The Potter's Alternative" by Harry Davis has complete and detailed
plans, including how to make your own auger.
For the pugmills I've made, I used already-made augers from the junk
yard, modified to suit my needs.
A one HP motor would be woefully under-sized for a pugmill the size
you describe. For my small pugmill with a 4" main barrel I used a 2 HP
motor, and my 6" twin barrel pugmill uses a 5 HP motor.
