with all of the negative energy being vented at at the Haugens I fek like I
need to interject that I am very happy with the performance of my Olympic
downdraft 14 cu ft kiln. I have had two issues - the damn thermocouple
only lasted for 45 firings - mostly C 10 reduction. Oh well. And i am not
really pleased with the location of the damper arm. when i discussed these
issues with Rob at NCECA last spring he offered to send me a free
thermocouple and agreed about the problems with the damper arm. He said he
would gladly consider any design changes i could offer. Everyday I fire I
look at the kiln and ponder how to change the angle or position of the
damper arm, no ideas yet.
All of those ugly thoughts, words and feelings... inferior product, lousy
to rude customer service, well don't get me started about the g__ d____
Skutt 1027 I bisque in, when it is working.
hang in there Bob/ Rob.
