Hello
I just purchased a used Knight kiln, it is 17" x 22". It is my first kiln,
I was wondering how reliable this brand is? Do I have to use kiln wash
when firing glazes? I was also wondering if anyone knew where I could get
an operating manual for the kiln, or will basic instructions about using
kilns be okay?
thanks for any advice.

Norma,
The Knight kiln company went out of business about 10 years ago. As far as
the reliability goes, it is anybody's guess due to the age of the kiln. If
you will e-mail me your fax number I will be happy to send you some basic
instructions for firing your kiln. If you need parts, Olympic can supply you
with elements, switches and brick. You can reach us at 800-241-4400.

Hello again, thanks to those who replied with info. I have another
question. When firing, is it 2hrs low, 2hrs med and then 4hrs high, or do
I need to do 3hrs low, 3hrs med, then high?
Thanks again
