Above event has just been scheduled at the new Riggs
Studio in Carthage, NC, and will take place during the
weekend of April 5th and 6th.
Because people have allready begun to sign up, a
second session might be planned for April 12-13th or
March 29-30th.
Each workshop will be limited to 10-12 participants.
This 2-day "Combo" will include courses on
"slip-resist method by Charles and Linda Riggs, and
"slip-and-glaze" techniques by Wally Asselberghs
(Flanders, Belgium).
The workshop is "hands on". Participants will be asked
to bring burnished, bisque-fired work that will be
fired during the weekend, using both types of naked
raku techniques and other related surface decoration
techniques.
The workshop fee is $95.00 including all materials,
morning tea and coffee.
Lunches, including Flemish dishes, will be extra.
Lodging : Motels, Bed and Breakfasts within 10 miles.
Camping on workshop grounds also an option.
