Can you increase the display resolution of your monitor? If you "up"
enough it you will see more of the web page and the "Next" may be visible
without scrolling. I set mine to 1024x768 (and also pressed F11--this
removes all the Internet Explorer window stuff and just displays the page
content) and "Next" was always visible.

[What's tiring for me is the wait..........for the next picture--gotta slow
phone line]

Elca hit the nail on the head with the need for the intimate object show
to incorporate a less cumbersome a slide show.
HOWEVER It was an incredible way to re-connect with so many folks whose work I
had not seen in years. It made me (and 10 of my students!) run over
to the wheel to throw, and also handbuild a big bunch of cups.
It reminded me of a wonderful michael simon cup I broke last year.
I tried to reproduce the glazes, but needless to say it was futile.
I can't explain how those stripes did what they did.
Every teacher ought to make their students produce a big bunch of cups
of all kinds. It has been great for us.

You will NOT have to wait for the thumbnail page to reload if you set up
Internet Explorer differently! (Since you are using Outlook Express I'm
assuming your browser is Internet Explorer)

Here is the way to do it in IE version 5.5:

Tools/ Internet Options/ Temporary Internet Files/ Settings/ Check for
Newer .../ Never

Here again another opinion. I prefer seeing the one object at a time
of a substantial size rather than looking at thumbnail that are
hard to see. Yes then you click to enlarge, but to go back each time
to see another and wait for the thumbnails to reload each time. I am
too impatient and tend to close the site rather than wait for the
thumbnail page to reload each time. (I am not referring to the
somewhat larger multi picture pages where you get a fairly clear but
somewhat small picture.)

With Charlie Cummings site

http://www.claylink.com

or direct to one of the pages of the cup exhibit

http://www.claylink.com/Exhibitions/Cup/Cup70.htm

I set up a rhythm read the title and name at the top then scrolled
down to view the pot and price, then click next. Was a very
enjoyable showing for me. Wrote down #'s of those I wanted to view
again. When finished could go to the bottom #'s and get to the ones
I wanted to repeat. A pretty good way to shop on line.

An example of another set up I have seen that you can move
through easily and quickly ( from Helen's listings)

http://www.gingerbreadsquaregallery.com/Exhibitions/ThivoExb02/thivo
exb02.html

where one puts the thumbnails to the left in a column with a scroll
down. The second larger column/window is where the enlarged view
opens. There is no reloading or going back here just click down the
row. Good cruise speed, good info and viewing size.

Just my favorite style sites.

Thank you Charlie Cummings for directing us to this site. Great work in
all the various ways that we work with clay. Shapes, glazes, effects of
wood, soda, salt and smoke. A treat to be able to see this work.
Thank you for your efforts to present this work to those of us who are
unable to personally view this show. MarjB
