Hi Joan,
Just to let you know; I've had the best success layering Tem Gold over
glazes that are in the iron reds family; berry rust and various efforts at
Randy's Red without gerstley borate. A slow cool is essential but the
rewards are red and gold crystals with some deep brown mixed in and rust
too.
