was at a show over the weekend and saw a piece and it had an almost
gunmetal blue steel or stainless look ,looked in the archives for something
that sounded like what it would be called.
i am working with electric kiln,cone 6,if anyone knows the name of something
like this,that would work for me,please respond.

Hello Gordon
Take your favorite base add to it 7-12% black copper oxide and you will have it.
Because the copper is a flux it might run. For sure:

It might be a platinum or paladium luster (akin to gold luster) that goes
on at about cone 018.
There is an artist here in Marin who puts a ceramic knife on her porcelain
melons and it is glossy glazed on the "blade" and then lustred in a final
firing. Looks like metal.
