ron's & john's glazes to cone 8

For those of you who may be interested, I just completed a test of
firing Ron's & John's calcium semi-matte and zinc semi-matte glazes to
cone 8 and they came out fine. The zinc-semi-matte did develop
suspended bubbles in the glass, but not unattractively so. The calcium
test with .2% cobalt carbonate and 4% copper carbonate developed lovely
light blue speckles where the glaze pooled.

Wanda- thanks for reporting on this. Were these on a vertical surface?
What I'm getting at is - did they run at all?

Ann Brink in Lompoc CA, expecting another 75deg. F. day- lovely!

I do tile - fired lying flat in the kiln, so I can provide little
insight on the probability of running. I can say that I did not clean
the glaze off the side edges of the tile and there was no indication of
these small glaze deposits running.
