hehheh....well, it'd be hard for me to describe that particular piece, as
you will see prolly tomorrow or Thursday. Your box went out today, and by
the way NO, the postage was not correct and I'm gonna fix that.

Everybody here who has seen the calendar has been impressed with the work
shown, which is a compliment to the submitting artists and not the calendar
itself. :)

Hey again. The calendars are in hand and I like 'em. Even have the =
first 75 or so packed to ship tomorrow. :) One thing I would like to =
encourage everyone to do is save out your best work and have it =
photographed in a professional manner. (I'm talking to myself too, =
because there's not one image of MINE in the calendar, 'cuz I don't have =
any new slides.) Even if you're just DESPERATE to get enough work made =
for that special show, (or especially then, 'cuz that seems to be when =
the racers happen, just when you can't afford to keep a pot.....), pick =
out one of your very best from each batch. WHY?? you may ask.......... =
because good, clear, professional-quality slides make a world of =
difference in how your work looks in print. One thing I have learned =
from doing the cookbook and calendar is that even a good graphic =
designer can't fix a bad slide. :(=20

Most folks who sent images sent more than one. Many folks had more than =
one image included in the calendar. Only one person's work was rejected, =
and that because I could not open the file that was sent. There are 40 =
images on this calendar, instead of the 12 I had originally planned, but =
I only used the best quality ones that were sent. Some were too dark, =
some were too fuzzy (out of focus). Several had too much SPACE around =
the objects (but we cropped for that). IMO, the slides sent by Bacia =
and Marta were the absolute BEST - especially Bacia's image on the =
August page. Very sharp and clear, very well balanced in the frame. No =
fuzz on the slide, etc. :) I believe these were scanned by Bruce =
Girrell, who also has excellent slides of his own. =20

These are the folks whose work you will see, in alphabetical order. The =
first time I printed this list, I totally forgot to write Gayle Bair! =
(Sorry).

Lois Aronow
Gayle Bair
Linda Blossom
Lorrie Burlingham
Betsy Cox
Gail Dapogny
Merle Davis
Bacia Edelman
Bruce and Lynne Girrell
Marta Gloviczki
Bob Kinzie
Marianne Lombardo
Ilene Mahler
Charlie & Linda Riggs
Robert Santerre
Lois Sharpe
Phyllis Tilton

Thanks very much to all of you who participated. If I can get my act =
together, I'll be returning your cd's with your calendars. :)

To order a calendar, go to http://www.living-tree.net . Hey, I actually =
placed an ad in CT for these things! ;)

And since it is unlikely that Bacia will toot her own horn, I'll do it for
her. She shot those slides herself (Marta's were professionally shot).
