SO hard to get out of bed at 4:45 am but I got up saw them. I
probably should have given it more time than I did. They were
about the same as last year. Not masses close together, but the
ones that I saw were long streaks. Much longer than a usual
summer shooting star. I saw about 2 a minute. The night was so
beautiful here, big setting moon brightening the snow covered
fields, no wind, fresh snow weighing down the tree branches of
the pines, myriad shades of blue....no wonder SOME people like
that color best. It's primal.
