I've had my West Coast Kiln for about 1 1/2 years and I'm crazy about =
it. I too wrote to Clayart for opinions, particularly about =
updrafts, because I had always had a downdraft. I was reassured - you =
might check the archives. Mine is the smallest they make - 10 cf. - =
and it fires no more than half a cone difference and reduces easily. =
It is very well designed and insulated, so that it cools slowly. I =
fire to Cone 10 in 8 hours every time. I highly recommend it - the =
price is right, too, after you compare to Geil, Bailey, etc. Chuck =
Maddox and son are wonderful people who will give you all the help you =
need.
