Many thanks to the Clayarters, who replied to my message.
I'm lucky, the thermocouple is not broken, it still reacts to temperature
changes.
The sheath is broken in 4 parts and I'll try to mend it, he way you suggested.
If I don't succeed I'll have to buy a new one, but will have to wait till
I'm back in Europe.
In the mean time I got a spare probe, that saves me for the coming exhibition.
