Friends:
I thought I would pass this on to all at this time of year. I have been
trying to start a commercial tile business over the past 4 years. I made
some serious mistakes in the past that hurt my family in many ways. I am
trying to repair the damage and it has not been easy. Without going into
much detail I will say that after State assistance and much help from
immediate family and friends we are still living in our house and still have
our family together. Maybe some day I can tell you all about it. But anyway,
my main point is this. When i saw a kiln for sale by a Clayart member in
Venice, CA. I emailed her offlist to see about buying it. I really had no
way of buying it at the bargain price of $150.00. I asked her to give me a
week to raise the funds for it. She agreed and I started trying to figure it
out. Well with a family of seven and 0 income right now and my folks helping
us out I didn't think I was going to make it. But after chatting with this
wonderful woman and her husband she decided to give it to me as a gift. It
broke me down in tears, I couldn't believe it. I would mention her name but
do not want to invade her privacy. She is a true angel in my eyes. Just when
I thought that the whole world was against me this true act of kindness
appears. Truly a blessing. Thank you my potter friend and God Bless you and
yours.I hope she is given some of her own blessings. I hope to see you all
in San Diego at NCECA.
Craig,
the Clayman
ex-teacher and humbled potter.
