My name is Vera Knoefler, I am 20 years old, live in Germany and I am going
to travel to Australia for perhaps one year in January of 2003. In the
summer
of 2002 I finished my school with the school-leaving-examination. I have the
intention to study at an academy of arts, when I come back to Germany. Some
of these academys have the demand of their applicicants for having some
practical experiences before starting their studies. My idea is, to combine
my
journey with the demand of academys of arts. So I would like to work in some
potterys in Ausralia. I have been interestet to get an insight in the work
of
potters since some years, but never had enough time to deal with this kind
of
arts. In addition to this I nearly have grown up in contact with pottery, as
my father is a potter and for a long time had been working in his workshop
in
the north of Germany. When I was young, I often went with him to the markets
and sometimes tried to form some own receptacles.
A consideration is, that I can learn much about the trade of pottery, if I
work in a pottery for some time.
I am looking forward to your answers to this mail.
Yours sincerly, Vera Knoefler
