Hey all!
I did a little sale this weekend to raise money for our local buddhist
meditation center. Wasn't planning on making much but actually did quite
well.
Anyway, there was another potter there, a mother of a member of the center.
At one point she came over and asked about pricing. I told her how I
priced...then she said:
"I just started throwing everything with the same amount of clay - four
pounds. I throw four pound mugs, large four pound bowls and small four
pound bowls. Then I price them all the same! When customers ask why the
big bowl and the small mug are the same, I just say 'I used the same amount
of clay!' "
Hee hee! I was a bit dumbfounded!!!!

Well if they buy very many of her "small four pound mugs" and "small four
pound bowls", they're going to have to bring along a solid many-pound
wheelbarrel!
How did you keep from snickering, much less laughing out loud?
