I'm going to go ahead and go boldly because a little bird told me that jumping is easy, that falling is fun up until you hit the sidewalk, shivering and stunned

I don't know when you are going and other people may have more ideas but following
are two. One is the Freer/Sackler. They're on the Mall; easy to get to. Here is
their Web site: http://www.asia.si.edu.

An interesting and versatile potter, Jill Hinckley, is in the
Adams-Morgan/Kalorama area. That is interesting just on its own along with DuPont
Circle, where there are lots of private galleries, but her work is quite fine. You
might give her a call, too. Here is her Web site: http://www.hinckleypottery.com.
You can take a metro and walk to her place . . . maybe buses, too.

I'll look around for other exhibitions. Hope you have a good time.
