Happy november,
lately i have re-fired two different 14" platters. one curved and one
with a flat rim like a dinner plate. after the first firing, other than
a glaze blemish the platters looked fine/normal. when refired with
another load they cracked...one in half then last nights into clean
thirds-
does this indicate a lack of compression in the bottom and if so, why
doesn't it show up in the first firing. i'm just hoping that i don't
have structurally inferior platters running around out there.
