Raku Surface Decoration Techniques with Ramon Camarillo
Saturday/Sunday, March 1-2, 2003; 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Ramon Camarillo has been teaching Raku workshops from the east coast to =
Hawaii for the past four years. Take the next step and learn in depth his =
Raku glaze application techniques. Ramon will teach a variety of methods =
used to create an array of effects. Through masking, spraying, and =
layering a perfect balance of subtlety and boldness can be achieved on =
your Raku fired pieces. Participants will be asked to bring 2-3 bisque =
fired pieces to decorate which will then be Raku fired the following day.

Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii Ramon has been living in Vienna, VA since =
1997. He has been a ceramic artist for over 20 years and specializes in =
large raku and pit fired pieces. His work has been featured in both the =
"Clay Times" magazine and recently in the April 2002 issue of 'Ceramics =
Monthly'.=20
