my take is:
hot wax is the great separator. you get one chance.
go for your pattern. hit that brush on your pot
and hope it works. if not...toss it.
i do the bottoms of a few tall things, and teapots....
if a drop gets where it does not belong...i say `mark of the potter`.
leave it.
hot wax....aphro dee zee yack.
it is time to dance. get ready...rev the engines.
hot wax.
a wonder drug. it is not for the faint of heart.
get dressed in a tux, long dress. (gender issues?) flowers...dance music.
tall shoes...it is time to glaze, wax, magic.
