Has anyone had the guts to shake up some 200# powdered Neph. Sy., Soda =
Felspar, Potash Felspar, Spodumene or Petalite with Water or Vinegar or =
Citric Acid, filter, evaporate and then send the residue off for =
analysis for sodium, potassium or lithium .
Until we get some analytical information we are arguing in the dark.
Even dipping a nichrome wire into the residue after evaporation and =
applying it to a hot flame will give an indication. Slight yellow is =
background sodium but a strong yellow means you may have pulled some =
from the powder.=20
Why speculate when you can get a definitive answer?Best regards,
Ivor.
