Someone asked for a straw [colored] glaze. As far as I know no one has yet
rushed in with a recipe.
But look at what is known:
Hopper says: 5% rutile with 5% tin gives a cream yellow in a wide variety of
base glazes. Iron 8% and rutile 2% and iron and tin (8 and 2 again) can
give orange browns.
High magnesium glazes tend to be creamy. Think on that. High zinc glazes
can be satiny and creamy.
Now while A Potter's Palette does not have c. 6 as a base glaze in which the
colorants were tested, some lovely straw like yellows appear in high
dolomite (magnesium) glazes, and high zinc ones.
Are there magnesium/zinc glazes. Sure.
And you can try replacing some of the clay in a glaze with Red Art Clay.
So if you have recipes around the studio--TRY them out. YOU DO NOT need a
brand new recipe-as though there were such a thing--but just to test your
tried and trues with rutile (iron and titanium)and straight titanium and
some iron, and tin.
