black boxes,

and consequences,......... long....... but weird and somewhat amusing?

A month ago I experienced a "black box" event.
While waiting for a flight in the Sea-Tac airport I noticed
a grubby young man wedged a triangular package wrapped in
bright orange plastic behind a chair and wall then walked off.
He appeared young, dirty, with wild hair & filthy, wrinkled & torn clothing.
He paused a moment then wandered away from the gate.
A woman sitting near us saw the incident & did nothing.
I said to my husband, "Did you see that?"
Although sitting closer to
the chair in question he saw nothing.
Now being one who actually listened to
the repeated airport announcements to never leave
possessions unattended & report anything suspicious,
I went up to the counter and reported what I saw.
An attendant picked up the phone and called security.
10 to 15 minutes later a policewoman arrives on a bicycle.
She pulls out the package and approaches the young vagabond
who had returned eating a Cinnabon and was sitting near my husband
who had moved from the suspicious package at my request.
The officer asked him if the package was his,
what it was and why he had placed it behind a seat.
His answers were:
Yes the package was his.
It was a fish.
He was throwing it away.
She asked where he got it.
He said " I caught it."
She said, "Where?"
He said, "In a state."
She checked his ID and his ticket to California (which some might conjecture
explains everything!).
She threw the bag in the trash as she left.

It was definitely a Twilight Zone moment with a twist and we got a
lot of laughs out of it later BUT.........

While I do not know this Artist, and I do not know anything
about them, the only thing I have to work with, as is not
knowledge, but heresay, is, that: He had painted the word
'fear' on some black cardboard boxes and set them on the
ground in a public place.

Where is the 'arrogance' here?

'Youthful' or otherwise?

We were told the 'authorities' arrested him, and as well,
'closed' the public place for sometime.

Could that be the 'arrogance' some have afterward attributed
to the Artist?

I am getting confused here!

I am to understand in THIS situation, that the Artists is
responsible for the reactions of the 'authorities'?

No matter what those 'reactions' are or were?

Is that it?

Help me out here please?

Thanks,

Phil

Just wanted to say, Lili, that I nodded respectfully and
murmured agreement
when I read your previous post , the youthful arrogance one.
I guess that
couldn't quite be termed responsive or "resonating",
however! Well, the
sentiment was there anyway.
