Dear Clayarter's,

I know my opinion is not a popular one regarding the black box =
installation. I am alright with it. The fact that we can all voice =
our opinion about it publicly and attach our real names to our post =
makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I think that it is so cool to =
be an American citizen who has the right to freedom of speech, please =
don't forget about our first amendment. This sets us apart from a large =
part of the whole rest of the world. I would defend this right to my =
death because my life would be so oppressive without it. No one is =
saying that if there are legal consequences that the artist has to face =
because of the way he went about showing his installation he should not =
have to face them, indeed he should. We must be held accountable for =
our actions. I am taken aback by how quickly some people want to =
silence this guy. Can you imagine living in Russia where public display =
of anything other than state sanctioned artwork is bulldozed and =
destroyed? Can you imagine silencing a street musician because some =
people don't like his/her music or arresting people passing out =
political material or religious material. I am put off by the subject =
matter he chose but I'm glad he has a right to make a point.

This is not a topic that can be treated in a black and white way. Thank =
God for America, our Constitution and our willingness to test it and =
fight for it.
